Petition for Initiation

If you are interested in becoming a Freemason and joining Mizpah Lodge #302, the first step is to submit a Petition for Initiation. You must be a man of good moral character, at least 19 years of age, and believe in a Supreme Being.

We encourage you to visit our lodge, meet the brethren, and ask questions before petitioning. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Scholarship Programs

Mizpah Masonic Youth Scholarship

$1,000

Mizpah Lodge #302 awards a $1,000 scholarship to eligible applicants who are planning to further their post-secondary education during the following academic year. The scholarship is awarded directly to the academic institution.

Eligibility

  • Members in good standing of an Omaha Metropolitan Area DeMolay Chapter
  • Members in good standing of an Omaha Metropolitan Area Rainbow Assembly
  • Members in good standing of an Omaha Metropolitan Area Job's Daughter Bethel
  • Master Masons of Mizpah Lodge #302 under the age of 25
  • Applicants must be planning to further their post-secondary education

Applications must be postmarked by May 1 of each year.

Neighborhood Scholarship

$500

Mizpah Lodge #302 is offering a $500 scholarship to one student with ties to the Morton Meadows neighborhood who demonstrates academic promise and a commitment to the local community. Open to applicants of all ages pursuing any postsecondary degree or certification. Awards are not necessarily based on financial need.

Eligibility

  • Current residents of the Morton Meadows neighborhood (preferred) or applicants from the surrounding area with ties to Morton Meadows
  • Pursuing any postsecondary degree, certification, or similar program
  • Open to applicants of all ages

How to Apply

Applications must be postmarked by May 1 of each year. Along with the completed form, include:

  • A letter of recommendation from an employer, mentor, religious leader, teacher, or guidance counselor
  • A written personal statement (150 word minimum) describing your connection to the Morton Meadows neighborhood, your educational goals, and how this scholarship will help you achieve them
